THE JADE EMPEROR, OR CAO DAI TIEN ONG DAI BO TAT MA HA TAT, TEACHING THE WAY IN THE SOUTH
The sacred altar blossoms with flowers,
Many branches, yet all under one roof.
Unite and strive to cultivate virtue,
Remain steadfast and loyal to Me.
The path to the Divine is not easily found,
The power of the universe held within.
Transcending the physical form, cultivated for eons,
Saving souls now across the five continents.
Seeking the virtuous, I sow the seeds of the Way,
Transforming evil, I mend the roots of sorrow.
Those who truly wish to escape worldly suffering,
How long until the day of fruition?
The branch you belong to is under My direct leadership; you will understand this later.
I desire your constant harmony with one another; that is a most precious offering to me. You must be jointly concerned for the honor of my Way.
My Way is you, and you are me. You must empower one another; do not be envious! Keep to your roles as I desire, and one day you will fully grasp my will.
Embrace brotherhood, cherish one another,
One virtue excels, another rises high.
Determinedly tread the path to Heaven,
Through shared blood and sacrifice, you become family.
You must understand this: how wondrous am I? My way of teaching is necessarily adapted to the intelligence of each one.
Even a mundane teacher must do the same; if one teaches profound things to a slow learner, how could they possibly understand?
I forbid you from criticizing others, especially your fellow disciples – do not offend them, lest you commit a sin. In all things, remember firmly that I am present within them.
Though of the same lineage, you are one family,
Sharing one Way, you share one Father.
Entrust your mortal lives to righteousness,
Teach each other the meaning of harmony.
I instruct you on one thing: always await my command, and do not rely on your own judgment to make any decisions. Your duties and responsibilities, I have already determined, but the time has not yet come; you must obey my words, listen!
From now on, I begin to teach you the Way.

In the White Jade Palace, there are both male and female beings; do not mistakenly believe that there is a distinction. There are Goddesses and Female Buddhas who possess even greater power and authority than many males.
Tr… has received his mandate from me; wherever you go, I will follow. The virtuous words that come from your mouth, they are my words, imbued with my power and concentrated in your being so that you may spread the Way. Teach others according to their capacity; you alone do not have enough strength to convert people. Regardless of whether they are male or female, or from any country, if they desire to know the Truth, you must guide them, tell them to come and hear my teachings – only then can they cultivate themselves. Do not initially pressure them too much.
I say this once, remember it well: even stone, iron, plants, and grass, when they hear the Holy Words spoken by you, which come from me, will rejoice – how much more so will people? Remember this and be at peace.
I see the sun rising above the clouds,
Together, gather and ascend the path.
The noble Way is entrusted to capable hands,
Close now, but vast distances lie ahead.
I have told you every day: all things, I have already arranged within your heart. Whatever you intend, I have already determined. You do not need to be overly anxious. The Way is essentially for those who have a predestined connection. Those who have become disciples of ‘Evil Spirits and Demons’ cannot possibly become my disciples.
Where there is righteousness, there is also evil.
How can one discern between the two?
This is how Immortals, Buddhas, and mortals are distinguished.
Mortals who seek to transcend must come to Me.
…Those who have exhausted all their blessings from previous lives and now further violate Heavenly Laws, how can such sins ever be resolved? You know that even the laws of the mundane world are not lenient, so how can one possibly escape the Heavenly Laws? Even if you, my disciples, were to act thus, I would still use my divine power to punish you without leniency. You must be greatly fearful of sin; only by being afraid can you protect yourselves. Knowing fear, you must guard yourselves, and understand clearly that: ‘Heaven and Earth are impartial.’ Do not presume upon the ‘Great and Merciful Father’ and disregard divine authority, listen my children!
