Teaching children is foremost teaching oneself,
The task of education is as demanding as giving birth.
The way of life intertwines, knowing life’s value,
A point of light, a spark of divine.
(The meaning of the first two verses)
Meaning: The young ones you teach will eventually become people in the world. That is life. If you understand the value of life, strive to teach them to be virtuous.
A point of light is a human soul: It is the most precious thing, cherished by me. If you desire to do good, diligently guide these souls to become virtuous. (Explanation of the last two verses)
